As Mother's Day approaches

I absolutely love this holiday, not just because I am a mom but because it's a great celebration just like father's day. All moms who work so hard not only for their kids but the whole family deserve to have recognition.

As a child I remember in school they would have us make something for our mothers, now as adults finding the right gift can be tricky. Some moms actually want a physical gift, others maybe just seeing their kids. But what is the best gift to give? Has anyone figured that out yet? Me, I have one that is almost a guarantee for the mother to be happy; the gift of peace.

For me I really just want a nice full day of relaxation where I don't have to do anything. No laundry, no cooking, no cleaning and some time to myself. It may sound selfish but it is mother's day. I get to hang out with my kids 24/7 they make me stuff daily. I don't need a present to tell me how good of a job I am doing, they let me know every night when they tell me they love me. We all know how hard us mothers work from day to day so why not get the gift of not having to do anything?

This day is for celebration to the ones who gave us life. By that we should know that giving them a peaceful day is what they deserve. We put them through hell some days and they never stopped doing things for us. Giving them a peace for one day is the least we can do.
