What really makes a difference?
How do you handle stress? Do you do breathing exercises? Maybe meditation? For a long time I have tried finding all types of ways for dealing with my stress. Before all I had to deal with was work and bills. Now I'm in a whole new ball game when it comes to stress; being a parent, step parent and stay at home mom.
Anyone who is a parent knows the struggles that I go through day to day. Now anyone who is a step parent knows why things are a different kind of stress. Helping raise children who I did not give birth to is actually a very hard thing to do. Maybe it is because they are "wild children" or the fact that they really have no structure or discipline. Don't get me wrong these are great kids and really fun to be around, but it's always when that time comes to "do something" I ask then it's a circus that I can not control. Things get out of hand with the tantrums and the attitudes, it becomes to much for me. Yes their dad is here with me but he sleeps all day so I do everything by myself. Does it make sense why I am a ball of stress now?
Here's what I have discovered: I play games. Yup I do sit on my phone and play games that relieve stress. Do I do this all day? No but when things get crazy that’s when I do. The game is called woody. It’s almost like a Tetris but different. But I’m telling you it’s the weirdest thing on how it is so relaxing. Just a few minutes of playing and it’s almost magic.
I suggest to anyone to really give this a try.
